Awards and recognition were presented to the three Founding Fathers of the Farragut Ship Association. Gene Jennings, Merle Denny and Dave Paulson decided to start the Association because they were dedicated to the memory of the USS Farragut and wanted to include all ex-shipmates who served aboard this fine Naval Warship. The Farragut Ship Association owe them a debt of gratitude for this successful endeavor and we will always think of them as the heart of the Farragut Crew. These three Founders are responsible for all of us having a remarkable fulfullment in sharing a link to our past service aboard the Farragut with all our past shipmates. Gene, Merle, and Dave, we salute you all and thank you for such an accomplishment.
